Through out my stay in the Miami-Dade area I have bestowed a new prospectus while submersing in the large city. We all recognize Miami as an epicentric coastal city that alone holds more residences than Colorado. The home of Scarface, Dan Marino, and the TV show Flipper. I have spent another exceptional week in Miami indulging in new experiences every day. I continue to stay at the house take care of the dogs that are contingent upon me and fulfill my daily chores at home and through work. I make an attempt to play basketball daily but isn’t always possible. During some portion of the day once I’ve completed my work I try to make time to swim in the ocean or sit on the beach. This third week in Miami passed exceptionally fast. I have always enjoyed its beauty and vibrance through each passing day. I continued this week working on metadata files as I had done the previous week. My mentor Derek was away doing research in the Caribbean. This provided me a great opportunity to work along side other NOAA staff members and aquatint myself with them. This second week I've begun work at NOAA and I can say I truly enjoy it. With some exception to being confined to an office sitting in front of a computer for most the day I really enjoy the work. Once the large data sets decoding conductivity, salinity, barometric pressure ex... of different reef locations is put into context its fascinating. I analyze a set of data composed annually by instruments used in different locations of reef activity. These instruments record different categorized data… Continue

My original intent of the summer internship was to indulge in study's
pertaining to the preservation of coral reefs. By surrounding myself
in an area, culture and climate not akin to my own. Discover a new
understanding of places and its people to further built tolerance and
